In Jack Kerouac’s Belief & Technique for Modern Prose, he wrote many aphorisms for writing.
The key point for writer’s block is number twenty-two.
22. Don’t think of words when you stop but to see picture better
When you’re writing and can’t find the right word, don’t think of the right word. Try to see the picture better. The right word will come.
And seeing the picture better will help you better describe what you’re writing to express.
Number twenty-nine is also helpful to remember.
29. You’re a Genius all the time.
